Guimaras

GUIMARAS

I took the first flight to Iloilo at 4:35 in the morning of January 21 and I arrived in Iloilo Airport 20 minutes ahead of ETA. Good job CebPac! I lingered a bit at the arrival lounge and also gathered some travel brochures from the Tourism Desk. I then asked an airport officer on how to get to Ortiz Wharf. So as instructed, I took the van and paid the 50Php fare (Airport-Molo) and got off at SM  City. I found out that 2 other passengers were heading to Ortiz so we all agreed to just chip in and hailed a cab to get to the Ortiz Port. Since it was still early, having arrived at the port at 6am, the fare for the ferry trip was 20Php but onwards until 6pm , the regular fare is only for 14Php.And later than that, the fare will be at 20Php again.

The ferries have their own names too! Upon buying the ticket, you will then board the ferry that has the same name as stated in your ticket.

Life jackets hung on the overhead railing inside the ferry....save it for emergency!

The Ortiz Wharf ..ferry now starts the journey
FIRST STOP: GUIMARAS' SMALLEST PLAZA (acknowledged by the Guinness Book of  World Records as the smallest plaza in the world)

The plaza  is a fenced area with an arch, a monument and a mini stage at the back.

Guimaras Museum
Unfortunately, the Guimaras Museum was under renovation so it was closed at the time of my visit:(
